PA Wake and Skate Evansburg-Tee

Conneaut Lake, the town and lake we love, holds a little history. 

The town that surrounds the largest natural lake in Pennsylvania was originally founded in 1793 by Abner Evans.

The town was originally named Evansburg in 1796 then in 1892 the town name was changed to Conneaut Lake since Conneaut was the name most commonly used to describe the area.

Just short of a century after Abner Evans started his gristmill business in the late 1700’s, George B. DeArment was the founder of Champion Bolt & Clipper Company, later becoming Channellock, Inc. began its operations in 1886 in the town of Evansburg, PA.
